It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edgar James Chatman announces his passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale on July 7, 2022 at the age of 71. Edgar was a member of the Springdale Salvation Army.
He was predeceased by his parents Theo and Marie and Brothers Rodney, Steve and Gerald.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Geneva; children Bill (Cora), Tammy (Andre), Eugene (Daisy) and Sharon (Jamie); Grandchildren Courtney, Brady, Nicholas, Andrea, Michael, Chloe, Trista, Bella, Joshua and Grace,
Great-grandchildren Leah, Cleo and Lakyn; brothers Dave, Wallace, Robert, Reuben and Edward; sisters Mary, Darlene, Edna, Marilyn, and Violet; as well as extended family and friends. as well as extended family and friends.
Major Lindsay Oxford will conduct the funeral service at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday, July 10 at 2 pm. Interment will be at the Springdale Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are his sons: Eugene & Bill and his grandsons: Brady, Nicholas, Michael and Joshua.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines and Michele Janes of Central Funeral Homes.
Edgar loved life. He enjoyed nothing more than being with his family and a crowd of people. He was known for his great sense of humor and his love of the woods. He will be deeply missed.
