1947-2023
With heavy hearts the family of Edith May Bennett announce her passing at Turnbull Nursing Home following a period of failing health on February 12th, 2023 in Saint John, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl (Cramm) Bennett. A loving sister to Henry (Renata ) Bennett, Howard (Chris) Bennett and predeceased by her sister Barbara and brother in law Phil Goudreau.
Edith was one of a kind, with a heart of gold and beautiful soul. She spent her life in caregiving sharing her compassion and love for others.
Edith is survived by her daughters Velma (Vince) Comeau, Tracy (Eugene) Janes and her sons Rodney (Hilda) Bennett and William Bennett.
Edith “Nanny” loved more than anything her grandchildren: Joey, RJ, Jordan, Brandon, Michaela, Alison and Fatima and great grandchildren: Tristan, Bella, Aiden, Jayshawn, Kayson, MacKenna, Raiden, Freya, Zander and Abbigale.
Edith also loved dearly her nieces and nephews: Nancy, Debbie, Natasha, Osie, Phillip, Jake, Steven and Louie.
Our Mom has now crossed the border between time and eternity but will forever be in our hearts.
No visitation or service will be held at this time. The celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced by her family.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Turnbull Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
