It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edmund Terrence Barnes announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on September 27, 2022 at the age of 72.
Edmund is predeceased by his parents Fred and Rita Barnes; brothers, Wilson & Kenneth Barnes; sister Linda Coole. Parents-in-law, George & Winnie Norris; brothers-in-law, Jim Healey & Gordon House; sister-in-law, Sandra Mills.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Marion of 49 years, son Sheldon (Kate) of Yellowknife, NWT and precious granddaughter Emily. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters, Rose (Mack) Dean and Clara; brother, Art (Pat); sister-in-law, Georgina Barnes; brother-in-law, Ray Coole; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Ralph) Randell, Judy House and Louise (Mike) Shallow. Also nieces & nephews and a large circle of family & friends.
Ed loved his family and friends dearly, He always loved family gatherings and making one laugh. He was an avid fisherman and had lots of stories to tell about his salmon fishing days, rides on his quad, camping & time spent at the cabin. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, our memories will keep him forever in our hearts.
Visitation is at Central Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor from 2-4pm on Saturday October 1st, 2022.
Rev. Robin Trevors will conduct the funeral service on October 2nd, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Holy Trinity Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Interment will be announced at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kellye Waterman of Central Funeral Homes. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
Reception to follow service in the Church basement.
