Obituary for Edna Marguerite Temple (Benoit)
EDNA MARGUERITE TEMPLE
1929 – 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Marguerite Temple announce her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on December 3, 2020 at the age of 91. Edna is predeceased by her mother, Mary Furey; father, Austin Benoit; stepmother, Margaret Benoit; daughter, Sheila Day; brother, Leo Benoit; and sisters-in-law, Jean Benoit, Monica Benoit, and Amanda Constable. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Stan; and son, Chris (Joan) of Rocky Harbour, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her sister, Beth White (Ron); brothers, Austin Benoit and William Benoit; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jennifer, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Cruz, Elliana, McKinley, and Torren; son-in-law, Scott Day; and brothers-in-law, Jim Temple (Mary) and Jim Constable. Edna was known for her warmth,kindness, generous spirit and her tremendous sense of humour. She loved life to the fullest and travelled often during her earlier years.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for their dedication and assistance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carmelite house or a charity of their choice. A private family funeral service will be held in her memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
