Obituary for Elsie Mildred Florence Guy (Folkes)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Mildred Guy announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale, NL on February 14, 2021 at the age of 85 years old.
Predeceased by her parents, Pearce and Fanny Folkes; husband, Ward Thomas; brother, Kayword Folkes; sisters, Glad Snow (Jim) and Lillian Taylor; and Ross Guy.
Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Lewis Thomas (Verna) and Wayne Guy (Dawn); and daughters, Daphine Strickland (Darrel), Joan Payne, Irene Keaths (John), and Juanita Locke.
Also leaving to mourn are her brothers, Arthur Folkes (Juanita), Edward Folkes (Violet), Allister Folkes, Junior Folkes, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with a number of friends and family.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Michelle Kelly of Central Funeral Homes.
