It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Chesley Burton announce his passing at Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale at the age of 70. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in South Brook. Eric retired from Howard C. Burton & Son Ltd; and his previous employment was at Churchill Falls Inn and Upper Lakes Shipping.

He was predeceased by his parents, Pleman & Phoebie Burton; sisters, Effie Reid, Marie Burton and Joyce Burton.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Esther Burton; sons, Conrad and Cody of South Brook; daughters, Charlene (Darrel) of Brookfield and Chantal (Tyler) of George’s Brook; grandchildren, Devon, Dominic, Dawson, Hailey, Harper and “Lindsay”, like a granddaughter.

Eric also leaves to mourn his brothers, Bruce, George, Cecil, Collin, Gideon, Glen, and Ron; sisters, Mamie, Flossie, Judy and Anetta; as well as a large number of family and friends.

Pastor Eric Compton will conduct the funeral service at the South Brook Apostolic Church on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 2 pm with interment to follow at the Apostolic Cemetery. Pallbearers are brothers: Bruce Burton, Glen Burton, Ron Burton, Gid Burton, Cecil Burton and nephew, Trent Newman.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear of Springdale Central Funeral Homes.
