Obituary for Florrie Agnes Fudge (Tucker)

It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Florrie Agnes Fudge announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on December 12, 2023, at the age of 90 years old.

Florrie was a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church and Home League, where she made wonderful friendships and beautiful, lasting memories. She met and married the love of her life, Charles, and went on to have 7 children. After losing Charles at the young age of 39 years, her resilience kicked in and she continued to raise her family on her own. The family continued to grow with 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren whom she treasured. Throughout her life, she enjoyed knitting, quilt making, baking, doing puzzles, playing games, and spending time making lasting memories with her family and friends. Her beauty, charm, laugh, and wittiness will always be remembered.

Florrie was predeceased by her husband Charles, parents Jesse and Naomi Tucker, her brother Garland, her sister and brother-in-law Gertrude and Milton Rose, son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Judy, her youngest grandson, the son of Lisa, her parents-in-law Aubrey and Sidona Fudge, as well as siblings-in-law Fred Fudge, Jean Snow, Marie Burt, and Cyril Fudge.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Gordon (Judy) of King’s Point, Garland (Nina) of King’s Point, Cavin (Jean) of King’s Point, and Brian (Sheila) of Sheppardville; her daughters Sharon (Gudbjartur) of St. John’s and Lisa of King’s Point; her grandchildren: Shane (Terrilynn), Jill (Trevor), Charlene (Jason), Glenn (Cynthia), Adam (Sara), Jane (Perry), Ricky (Kristina), Kristin (Stephen), Shelley, Jordan (Melanie) and Kyron; as well as 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Major Randell will conduct the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in King’s Point on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the King’s Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers are her children, Gordon Fudge, Garland Fudge, Cavin Fudge, Brian Fudge, Sharon Fudge and Lisa Fudge.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken, Ashley and Michele of Springdale Central Funeral Homes.

Did you ever know that you’re my hero
And everything I would like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I’ve got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you’re my hero
You’re everything, everything I wish I could be
And I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings

Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
