Obituary for Frederick George Snow

It is with broken hearts that the family of Frederick George Snow announce his passing on November 18, 2022, at the age of 90.

Fred was born to Amaziah and Catherine Snow on March 3, 1932 at their home in Bishop’s Falls, NL. He married Olive Parsons and had his first son Allister (Andrea). After Olive’s passing, he met and married Margaret Mitchell of Pacquet, NL. Together they added five more children; Burry (Beverly), Esther (Derek), Willie (Toni), Anna (Mark) and Alison. He had 11 grandchildren; Cassondra, Matthew, Lily, Megan, Emily, Brandon, Faith, Zachary, Victoria, Dawson, and Liam. He also had 13 great-grandchildren; Taylor, Krista, Rosalie, Avery, Natalie, Angie, Jeremiah, Noah, Scarlett, Maisie, Hunter, Charlie, and Layne. They were loved dearly by their Poppy Snow.

Fred was predeceased by his parents Amaziah and Catherine; brothers Jack, Donald, and Joseph; and sister Sadie.

Fred will be forever missed by Margaret and the children; nine brothers, Tom (Shirley), Bill, Harry (Frances), Frank (Verna), Bob, Gordon (Eileen), Albert (Alfreda), Ron (Shirley), and Jerry (Golda); and sister Geraldine (Clayton) Fudge. Uncle Fred will be missed by many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

Fred worked at Abitibi-Price from the age of 16 until his retirement. He loved everything about the outdoors; hunting, fishing, berry picking, camping, and cutting wood were his passions. His grandchildren were his whole world, but above all, he loved his Lord and Savior. He has fought the good fight, finished the course, and now rejoices with the Saints gone on before.
