Obituary for Gertrude Kelly (Downey)
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Gertrude Kelly announce her passing at Twin Town Manor in Grand Falls-Windsor on March 13, 2021 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by son: Darren Kelly (Belinda), brother: Cyril Downey, sisters: Theresa Sampson, Selena Collins, and Ann Downey.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons: Jeff Kelly (Judy) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Pat Kelly (Cindy) of Sackville, NS, Tom Kelly (Michelle) of Cold Brook, NS, David Kelly (Margaret) of Orangeville, ON, Brent Kelly (Val) of Thailand. Also leaving to mourn, one daughter, Rowena Zimola (Peter) of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Gertrude also leaves to mourn, her siblings Joe Downey and Margaret Power.
Left to cherish her memory are her 18 Grandchildren: Brittany, Brandon, Tyrone, David, Braeden, Brett, Lauren, Matthew, Stephanie, Sarah, Paige, Zackary, Christina, Victoria, Kieran, Dylan, Madison, and Jodi and 5 Great Grandchildren: Jade, Grady, Bryson, Hayden, and Madden, and special friends Melda McDonald, Mary Cole, Maureen Roberts, Ellen Parsons, Linda Sharron, and Bessy Penton.
Gertrude enjoyed playing darts and cards, posting memes on Facebook and spending quality time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service at this time. A service will be scheduled when restrictions have lifted and we can all gather together again.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines of Central Funeral Homes, Grand Falls-Windsor.
