Obituary for Gordon Sydney Carl Hull
Surrounded by his family and close family friends, Gordon Sydney Carl Hull passed away at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on December 4, 2023 at the age of 75.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 55 years, Juanita, his two daughters Janice and Jennifer (Fraser) and his son Jamie (Carla). He will be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren Adam, Kealin, Aaron, Rylan, Kylie, Carter and Myah. Also left to mourn are his siblings Davis (Sandra), Dennis (Carol), Dale (Jim), special nephew Dean Short and some close family friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Nancy Hull and his sister Shirley.
Gord was born on Little Bay Islands in 1948 and he dearly loved his island home. He trained as a welder at a young age and was passionate about this craft. His skill and precision were recognized throughout the region, and he was never without a welding job to complete. When he took a job with Hydro, he continued to weld down behind the house in his time off. He loved his family, his friends, coffee and Little Bay Islands. He received the most loving care from his wife Juanita, especially during the past 20 years and he lit up whenever she or his grandchildren were in the room.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his two homecare workers Patsy and Dana. The kindness and care that they extended to him was so appreciated and they became a part of the family. We would also like to say a very special thank you to Glenyth, Val and Marina for their love and support.
Also, the family would like to say thank you to the Green Bay Health Center for the care they provided for him at the end of his life.
