HARVEY HOWSE
1932 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Howse Sr. announces his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Carmelite House on September 20, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
Left to mourn are his wife, Marion; daughters, Pearl (Harry) and Josephine (Bill); sons, Harvey Jr. (Tammy) and Scott (Lee Anne); 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, William; mother, Elsie May; 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Harve was an outstanding defenseman with the Grand Falls Andcos hockey team. He was a member of the Anglican Church Singing Sidesmen and the Oddfellows Lodge. He loved to go trout fishing and berry picking and spend time at his cabin in West Pond. Harve and Mrs. Harve owned and ran “Harve’s Place” for 24 years until they retired.
Cremation has taken place, as was his wish. Donations may be made in his memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ralph, Dr. Lush, all the nurses at the Carmelite House Palliative Care Unit, and Ruth Wells, along with Central Funeral Home, Rev. Robin Trevors, the Singing Sidesmen for coming in to sing for him, and Tom Tubrett for playing the accordion for him, which he really enjoyed.
There will be no visitation or Funeral service at this time.
