Obituary for Hazel Jeanette Evans (Hillyard)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Jeanette Evans announce her passing at her residence in Grand Falls-Windsor on April 11th, 2021 at the age of 87. Hazel was a member of the UCW.
Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Rosa Hillyard, husband Robert Evans, daughter Lisa Evans Ivany, daughter-in-law Paula Evans, brothers Calvin, Varrick, Donald and Bruce, and sister Mae.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Robert Evans of Grand Falls-Windsor, brother Robert (Betty) Hillyard of Corner Brook, sisters Betty Hillyard of Corner Brook, Ruby Evans of Burlington, ON. and sisters-in-law Harriette of Corner Brook and Bonnie of Corner Brook. Hazel leaves to mourn her two grandchildren Sarah (Dustin) Ivany of Grand Falls-Windsor and Justin (Meghan) Ivany of Victoria, BC. along with three great grandchildren, good friend Eleanor Hamilton and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Rev. Kim Waite will conduct the funeral service at the Central Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor on Wednesday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family or donations in Hazel’s memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
