HELEN CONWAY
1916 - 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Conway announce her passing at the Veteran’s Wing of the Long Term Care Centre in Corner Brook, NL on September 25th, 2018 at the age of 102. Helen lived a full life absolutely devoted to her family, never forgetting a birthday or anniversary for those in her family and her friends, and always following the news and willing to discuss world and local events. Left with fond and loving memories are her son, Charles Conway (Diane) of Corner Brook, and daughter, Barbara LeBlanc (Richard) of St. John’s. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren, Curt Conway (Serena) and Martha Spencer (Andrew), and great-grandchildren, Morgan Conway and Parker Conway. Close to Helen are Phil Conway (Robert Joseph), Bruce and Madeline MacDonald, Robert and Judy Byrne, John and Iris Byrne, John and Barbara O’Connell, and Sid and Bernice Hynes, as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Floor 1 North of the Corner Brook Long Term Care facility who provided outstanding care during Helen’s stay there. Father Joseph Uy will preside at the funeral service to be held at Central Funeral Homes, 45 Union St., Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at 9:30 am. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
