Obituary for Henry James Newbury

It is with great sadness that the families of the late Henry James Newbury announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 11, 2022 at the age of 80.
Henry was a member of the Salvation Army King’s Point, NL. Henry retired from a long career in the construction industry.

He is predeceased by his parents, Henry & Elsie Newbury; Sister Malba Rideout and two grandchildren, Jake and Alanna.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Jeanette; sons, Morris (Christine) of King’s Point, Lorne (Diane) of King’s Point and Ric (Amy) of Dieppe, NB; daughters, Elizabeth (Larry) of King’s Point, Lori-Ann (Malcolm) of Garson, ON and Angie of Sudbury, ON.

Henry also leaves to mourn his sisters Bessie Thomas, Phyllis Dawe, Annie Matthews, Margaret (Rod) Pelley, Effie (Melvin) Rideout and Delphine (Jessie) Lane. His 15 grandchildren; Cindy, Eric, Steven, Devin, Adriana, Brittany, Clint, Keith, Tiffany, Zachary, Brandon, Rebecca, Joshua, Jade and Caspin; 16 great- grandchildren: Alexis, Noah, Liam, Maddie, Evie, Quinn, Jake, Theodore, Kairo, Cooper, Charlotte, Mia, Destiny, Journey, Alaska and Kallie.

Majors Brian and Betty Thomas will conduct the funeral service at the King’s Point Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday, May 15, 2022 with Interment following at the Interfaith Cemetery, Kings Point. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brandon, Clint, Devin, Steve, Keith, and Joshua.
