Obituary for Jessie Louise Paddock (Hewlett)

The family of the late Jessie Louise Paddock is saddened to announce her passing at her home (Seniors Manor) in Robert’s Arm on February 4th at the age of 88; she was a member of the United Church.

Jesse was born in Beaumont on January 6th, 1935 to Warrick and Catherine Hewlett. Later in life she married Ford Paddock and had three daughters.

Jessie was kind, compassionate and giving. She loved to bake and knit. Her pie crusts were second to none and picture perfect. She loved to laugh and enjoyed visits from family and friends. Whenever you stopped by, you were sure to be well fed and leave with something she had baked or knitted.

She was predeceased by husband Ford; daughter Leone; parents Warrick & Catherine Hewlett; brother Wesley Hewlett; sisters Stella Burton and Linda Colbourne.

Jessie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Sandra (Harold Oake) and Nola (Malcolm Hewlett) both of Roberts Arm; grandchildren: Lee (Tara), Paulette (Conn), Krista (Shannon), Craig (Tara) of Clearwater, BC and Jamie (Allison) of Hinton, AB; great-grandchildren: Nathan & Emily Hewlett, Zachary & Riley Vincent, Emma & Ava Henstridge, Kai Hewlett and Lucas Tilley; great-great-grandchildren: Theo & Charlie Hewlett.

Rev. Corey Paul will conduct the funeral service at the Robert’s Arm United Church on February 8 with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Beaumont. Pallbearers are Zachary Vincent, Riley Vincent, Paulette Vincent, Krista Henstridge, Oscar Colbourne and Lee Penney; Honorary Pallbearer is Ava Henstridge.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear of Springdale Central Funeral Homes.
