Obituary for Joan Thorne
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful aunt and sister-in-law Marilyn JOAN Thorne. Born on February 18, 1944, in Grand Falls Winsor NL. Marilyn Joan Passed peacefully away on April 9th,2024 at Saint Lukes Home surrounded by love.
Predeceased by her loving parents Maxwell and Eva Thorne; sister Maxine Hussey; brother Keith Thorne. Leaving to mourn are niece Cathy Hussey and nephews Andrew and Mark Hussey (Denise); brother-in-law Edwin Hussey (Lois); Sister-in-law Sandra Waterfield(Gord); great niece and great nephew Alyssa and Max Hussey. Special longtime friends, Madeline Mcdonald, Pat Hickey, Monie Moore, and circle of relatives and friends.
Special thank you to all the Nurses, Staff, and residents at Saint Lukes Inglewood unit for making sure that Joan was well cared for, loved, always smiling, and never alone.
Cremation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home in St. John’s. Visitation and funeral arrangements will follow on a to be determined date at Central Funeral Homes in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland.
