JOYCE MILLAR BAILEY (NICHOLS)
1925 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joyce Millar Bailey (Nichols) announce her passing at the Carmelite House Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL at the age of 95. Joyce was a member of the Memorial United Church, UCW, and Parkinson Society. Joyce retired from Grand Falls Co-op Store. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Nichols; husband, Howard Bailey; stepson, Rev. Edward Bailey; 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters, Margaret Lewis (Bill) of Paradise, NL; and Ann Arnold (Les) of Sussex Corner, NB. Also leaving to mourn are her sister, Ruth Short (Vernon); stepdaughter, Louise Butt; grandchildren, Stephanie Arnold (Gavin Mcconnell), Marc Arnold (Pam), Nancy Holloway (Justin), Stephen Lewis (Allison), Susan Corkum (Aaron), Sharon Collins (Rupert), Paul Bailey (Mae), Janet Bailey, Denise Anstey (Frank), and Heather Thompson (Richard); great-grandchildren, Matthew Coffin, Brandon Coffin, Cameron Arnold, Jacob Arnold, Sarah Holloway, Nicholas Lewis, Avery Lewis, Owen Corkum, Bailey Collins, Aiden Holland, Patrick Anstey, Jeremy Anstey, Zachary Anstey, Elizabeth Thompson, and Matthew Thompson; and great-great-grandchildren, Alaura Coffin, Eli Coffin, and Flynn Philpott. A private family service will take place at the Memorial United Church in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial United Church or the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines of Central Funeral Homes.
