It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Laura Bailey (formerly Pelley) of Bishop’s Falls. Laura passed peacefully away at the AM Guy Health Centre in Buchans after a lengthy illness with dementia. She was 81 years of age. Laura is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Emma Pelley, daughter Elizabeth, son Howie, son John, sister Clara, brother Fred, brothers-in-law Charles & Harry, sisters-in-law Mary, Maureen & Plena.

She leaves to mourn with loving memories are her family: Roy, Gloria, Albert & Milida, Ches & Joyce, Everett, Joan & Albert, and Douglas and Nancy (sister-in-law) as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and fur baby Mimi. Laura was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She was always a hard worker and had a wonderful personality and was always kind and generous. She will always be remembered for her witty sense of humour and bright smile. She always loved to sing and could frequently be heard singing one of her favourite songs You Are My Sunshine. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by anyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff of 3B at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre and Staff at Buchans Health Centre for their kind and compassionate care during Laura’s illness.
