Obituary for Louetta May Inder (Grandy)

Louetta May Inder
1927-2023

Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, Louetta May Inder (nee Grandy), 96 years old, at the Health Sciences Centre on November 10th, 2023.





Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Charlotte Grandy; husband, Hollis; son, Wayne; siblings and their spouses, Minnie (Jack), Garfield (Annie), Murray (Thelma), Piercey (Lucille), Myrtle (Ralph), and Madeline (Max); son-in-law, Eric Brown and daughter-in-law, Cindy Connelly.





Left to mourn her passing are her children: Wanda Brown, Dale Inder (Betty Anne Younker), Terry Inder (Cindy Deveraux), and Craig Inder (Beverly); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Darrell (Ava), Tracy, Mark, Vanessa (Sam), Amelia, Catherine (James), Caitlyn; her great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Sidney), Cameron, Rachel, Ariana, Leah and Emma; special cousin, Audrey Grandy, special niece, Joan Cook, Kaye Dawe; adopted granddaughter, Lori Lynn Connelly, as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.





Louetta lived a long, full life in which her faith, family and friends meant everything to her. Louetta’s happiest days were spent with her family gathered round her, playing a game with friends, travelling to somewhere new, or cultivating her garden. She was a strong, independent woman and we are grateful to have been enveloped in her love.





Special thanks to the staff of the Health Sciences Emergency Department and 4NorthB for their compassionate care. The family is also very grateful to Louetta’s former co-residents and staff of Glenbrook Villa for all the kindness they demonstrated to her. Deep gratitude is also extended to the members of her family who she lived with over the past year for their love and care.





Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday November 12th from 2-5pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at The Salvation Army St. John’s Temple 101 Torbay Rd, on Monday November 13th at 11:00am.

Internment will take place on June 15, 2024 at the Salvation Army cemetery in Grand Falls.
