Obituary for Maisie Idella Saunders (Grant)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maisie Saunders announce her passing at Valley Vista in Springdale on February 20th, 2023 at the age of 90. Maisie was a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church where she was very involved in Songsters, Home League and Joy Fellowship Club.
She was predeceased by husband John; her parents, Ernest and Mary, her siblings Ruby, Flo, Rita, Mabel and Guy; her daughter in law Nola and son in law Terry.
Maisie leaves to mourn with loving memories her children Ruth (Don), Scott (Sharron), Guy (Catherine), Dale and Sherri; her grandchildren Dana, Heather, Chad, Stephanie, Jonathan, Jodi and Joseph; her Great-grandchildren Theresa, Lily, Rachel, Rylee, Caysie, Jack, Carson, Calleigh, Levon and Halen. Special Nan to Mike, Angie and Lakyn.
Her family would like to extend special thanks to the Staff of Valley Vista for the loving care and compassion shown to Maisie over the past three years. Thanks also to Ken and Michele of Springdale Central Funeral Home for their help during this time.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 10:30 am at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are her sons Scott Saunders and Guy Saunders; her grandsons Mike Warren and Chad Saunders and her great grandchildren Lily Saunders and Jack Saunders.

Flowers are gratefully accepted as well donations in Maisie’s memory can be made to the Springdale Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
