Margret was the greatest neighbour I ever had. I grew up next door to her and Rae on Lind. When I was a teenager, I would occasionally “borrow” Dads car and she would never tell on me.

As I got older and had my own children, Noah In particular would always run over to her yard and smell her flowers.

After Rae had passed I would snow blow her drive way. I would insist on doing it for free (we shared driveways so I had to do it anyway) but she would insist on paying but I would refuse. She would then wait till the next day and give it to my mom when I wasn’t home.

I missed her when she moved. I would ask mom how she was and ray messages through mom when they would visit. I wish I was there to pay my respects to her at the funeral.

You were a lovely woman Margret, I’ll miss you.

Sharon and Family,
The staff of the Harmsworth Public Library are saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. Margaret was a wonderful library patron and an avid reader!! We missed her very much when she left this town. However, from time to time we would get an ILL request for Margaret which was very nice to receive. Your Mom was a wonderful person and she will be missed!

Sharon and Family,
We were sad to hear of Margaret’s passing. She and Rae were great friends with my mom and dad, Amy and Albert Noel. Many hands of cards were played with your parents, my parents and the Gregory’s! As I grew up and played cards with them in Eastport/Burnside, I learned a few tricks and a few “sayings” too! She also inspired me to read. She always had a book and would recommend them to me. I took Dad to see her last summer and it was great to see the two of them together again. Please accept our condolences. She was a great lady!

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a great friend to my parents, Eric and Joyce. I last spoke to her when Mom passed away and we both shed a few tears.

Dear Sharon and family, I was deeply saddened to hear that Aunt Margaret had passed away this week. I always thoroughly enjoyed my visits with her whether they were in person or on the telephone. She was very supportive and comforting to me when my mother (her sister Evelyn) died in 2007. Her telephone calls were a godsend to me. She and I shared a love of animals and crocheting doilies. I was always in awe of her skill in crafting sentences and injecting humor in them. Reading her letters was a delight not only in the content but also in her beautiful handwriting, I like to think I may have inherited a small measure of her talents in this regard. I am so happy that Dad and I were able to make the trip to Newfoundland in 2015 and visit with you all. It's good to have those pleasant memories of her. She also called to comfort me when Dad passed away in 2017. She was kind and selfless. I remember visiting her and Uncle Rae in Grand Falls with Mom, Dad and my sister Tami. She gave up her bed to us and slept on a mattress in her unfinished basement! I will miss her calls and letters. I can only imagine a Ridgley reunion going on in Heaven now. It's very difficult to lose a parent as I am sure you know. However, the memories we have of them become treasures of the heart and keep them close to us forever. Sending big hugs and my deepest condolences to you all! Love Linda XXOOXX
PS I have already sent a donation in her memory to the Exploits Valley Humane Society.
