Margarite Bessie Rowsell
1946-2022


With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Margarite Rowsell, on April 6th, 2022 at the age of 75. Pre-deceased by her husband Herbert, and parents Gordon and Marion Batstone. Leaving to mourn is her daughter Dianne (Mike); and son Jeffrey. Also, her sisters Barbara (Lyndon), Rowena (Edgar), brother Wesley (Elsie), sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, as well as special frend of the family, Jessie Butler.

Margarite was born to Gordon and Marion Batstone in Nippers Harbour and was the oldest of 4 children. She moved to Harrys Harbour and met her husband Herbert and they started their family. Those who knew her well, knew she was a very quiet, modest individual,and a kind and gentle soul that loved her family and she will be deeply missed.


Her Journey’s Just Begun

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun
Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
