Obituary for Marilyn Beulah Budgell (Thomas)

It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Marilyn Budgell announce her peaceful passing on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Marilyn was a beautiful soul who gave her life to her family, her church and God.

Marilyn was born on April 24, 1940 to Maxwell and Maye Thomas. She was the eldest girl in a family of 8 children.

She met the love of her life, Alton at 15 and they soon started their family. Life blessed them with 4 children, 8 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was kind, generous and loving. She was beautiful, inside and out. She loved singing, a good shop; get togethers that involved food and lots and lots of kisses. She knew that love was meant to be shared so she shared it! From babysitting the little ones, Saturday soup, gifts for others or a Home League devotion, she was always there for family and friends. She gave herself and her time unconditionally.

Marilyn was a devoted member of the Salvation Army in King’s Point, where she loved praising the Lord. A devoted soldier of God, her faith was strong.

Her beautiful smile, her sure love and daily phone calls will leave an immeasurable void in our family.

ALWAYS LOVED AND REMEMBERED.

She is now watching over us with those who passed before her: her loving husband, Alton, daughter-in-law, Kim; parents Maxwell and Maye Thomas, Parents-in-law Earnest and Maude Budgell, Sister Pearl, Sisters-in-law, Gail and Jill and brothers-in-law, Palmer, Stewart, Gordon, Maurice, Elmo, Frank and Rod.

Leaving behind to cherish sweet memories are son Terry (Bessie) Budgell; daughter Kitty (Cog) Pelley, sons Lloyd (Suzanne) Budgell and Bob Budgell.

Grandchildren Tammy (Travis), Peter (Vicky), Bobby (Natasha), Jonathan (Jess), Danielle (Zachary), Dillon, Christen and Skyler (Emily)

Great grandchildren: Maddi, Kasey, Cooper, Benjamin, Cole and Quinn

The family would like to thank Dr. Todd Young and the staff of Green Bay Health Centre for your compassionate care. Also, thank you to all those who have sent food and messages and have shown such thoughtfulness to us during this time; it is deeply appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the King’s Point Salvation Army Corps.
