Obituary for Marion Betty Marie Chatman (Burton)

On February 9, 1953 the world was blessed with an Angel from Heaven. It is now with burdened hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Marion Chatman announces her return to Heaven.

Marion was a member of the Springdale Salvation Army Corp. She was known for her selflessness and her passion to cater to anyone in her presence. She would radiate her inner beauty when she entered any room and fill others with joy and peace when she smiled. Many things sent from Heaven, including her, were things that were made with her hands including quilts; coconut cream pies, black forest trifles, rice puddings and much, much more. Marion loved God, her family, and all souls. Her heart extended to all animals especially her two favourite puppies, Jack and Spuddy.

She leaves us with many wonderful, unforgettable memories. She will be tremendously missed and mourned by her husband of 52 years 308 days, Dave Chatman; son Matthew and wife Amber, of Duck Lake, SK, grandson Hunter, step-grand children Rae, Austin, and Jade; son Deno of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; brother Max and wife Marion Burton, special niece Margo Burton and spouse Brendan and as well as many extended family members and a large circle of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 2 pm.
