Obituary for Marjorie Flossie Hewlett (Burton)

MARJORIE FLOSSIE HEWLETT
1930 – 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie Flossie Hewlett announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on February 1, 2019 at the age of 88. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Harvey Hewlett; her parents, James & Louisa Burton; sons-Lloyd and Glenn Hewlett; grandsons-Gerald and Richard Hewlett. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons-Gerald (Margaret) of Little Bay, Herman (Chris) of Deka Lake, BC and Neil (Doris) of Elliott Lake, ON; daughters-Elsie of Springdale and Paula (Ronny) of South Brook. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren-Tammy, Dennis, Julie, Shaun, Ryan, Justina, Matthew, Joe and Emily; 11 Great grandchildren and many relatives and close friends. Pastor Kerry Northcotte will conduct the funeral service from the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in South Brook on Tuesday, February 5 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gerald Hewlett, Herman Hewlett, Tammy Hewlett, Rex Croucher, Pete Connors and Terry Croucher.

Marjorie Flossie Hewlett was born November 20, 1930 to James & Louisa Burton of Long Island, NL.
On May 19, 1948 she married the love of her life Harvey Hewlett and they were blessed with 6 children-5 boys and 1 girl. On May 19, 1975 they were blessed with
another baby girl - Paula- whom they raised as their own.
Marjorie was a stay at home working mother who loved to care for her children. Marjorie was well known for her knitting and pickles. She was well known for her personality. She loved to make you laugh.
In her spare time she loved to knit, go to bingo and watching wrestling. She also loved spending time with her special granddaughter-Emily- who she loved with all her heart.
