Obituary for Mary Jane Taylor (Francis)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Jane Taylor announce her passing at the GFW Long Term Care Home, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL at the age of 82. She passed peacefully with her family by her side on March 10, 2024.

Born in LaPoile, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Francis.

Mary devoted her entire life to her family, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always loved a good laugh, and managed to keep her beautiful smile to the very end.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, James Taylor; her Brother Ronald; and her Sister-In-Law Elsie;

Mary leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Wanda-Lee (Keith), Melodie, and Charlaine (Terry); She was also a second Mom to her nephews Ronnie and Darcy.

Also left with fond and loving memories are her Grandchildren: Shane (Lizz), Weston (Adele), Beth (Richard), Melodie (Dan), Tristen, Nicholas, Jamie and April; Brothers: Blandford (Olive), Clifford, and Garfield (Mildred); Great Grandchildren: Liam, Taylor, Jeffrey, Rylan & Lucas, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She also leaves to mourn her new found family and friends at Waterfall Way.

Her family would like to acknowledge the amazing staff at the GFW Long Term Care Home, and thank them whole heartedly for amazing care, love and compassion they showed her and her family. They were more than staff members, they were a part of her family, and she loved them dearly.

In keeping with her wishes, Aquamation has taken place and Rev. Robin Trevors will conduct the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at 2:00pm. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ashley Brace of Central Funeral Homes.
