Matthew Keefe
1960-2021

It is with a heavy heart we announce on December 22, 2021, Matthew Keefe passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Born in Botwood February 24, 1960, to Harold and Vina Keefe. Moving to Badger in 1982 with the love of his life Marg, where they settled in making it their permanent home for a life full of good times and cherished moments. Matt was well known as a hard-working dedicated family man with a heart of gold.
Matthew is predeceased by his parents Harold and Vina Keefe of Peterview, grandparents Elezha and Gusann Keefe and Thomas and Gertie Cannings of Peterview. Sisters Evelyn Budgell, Hazel Stuckless, Louise Brenton, and Ethel Curlew of Peterview. Brother-in-laws Jack Budgell and Gordan Stuckless of Peterview. Niece Elaine Power (Wilson) and nephew Dennis Keefe.
Matt will be dearly missed by his wife Marg, son Josh (Trudy) of Fort McMurray, daughters Falon (Mike Jr.) of Fort McMurray, and Camilla of Badger. Grandchildren Amanda (Tom), Michael, and Bella. Great grandchildren Dawson and Jasper. Brothers Winston (Cherry), Sterling (Marion), Aubrey (Betty), Anthony (Betty), Harry (Barb), and Adam (Betty). Sisters Isabelle (Ron), Cathy (Ron), and Vina. Along with countless close family and friends.
Matt’s home was an open house where everyone was always welcome. His love of music, darts, Texas holdem, being outdoors, and making people laugh was unmatched, paired with a personality everyone adored and admired, making him the life of every room he was in. He was the greatest poppy and adored and loved by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His soul touched us all for a brief time but will be with us in memory forever.
Honorary pallbearers are Josh Keefe, Mike Jr. Vallieres, Dave White, Cyril Wilson, Colin Savoie, Kevin Connors, Ron Wilson, Terry Wilson, and Roy Jr. Hobbs.
No funeral gatherings have been scheduled during this time. In lieu of flower donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
