Obituary for Mavis Georgina Fudge (Verge)
Passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord whom she loved Mavis Georgina Fudge of Brighton on December 30, 2022.
Mavis was predeceased by her parents Selby and Althea Verge, her Parents-in-law, Fred and Hazel Fudge; Brother Wilfred and Sister-in-law, Lulu; Sisters Lillian Butt, Ida Fudge and Bonnie Fudge.
She leaves to mourn her husband Rex of 54 years of marriage; sons, Shawn (Bernice) of Flin Flon, MB, Bryon (Tracey) of Millet, AB, and Justin (Shauna) of Ferry Rd, NB; Daughters, Lorelei (Dennis) of Brighton, NL and Stephanie (Dion) of Marystown, NL; Brothers Francis Verge (Linda), Clarence Verge (Primrose) and Sister Ruby Guy (the late Harry).
She leaves to mourn her grandchildren; Amanda, Steven, Samantha, Stephanie, Victoria, Donovan, Chloe and Cody and her Great-Grandchildren, Joshua, Ryker, Kylee, Kamryn, Aliana, Milia and Caleb.
Mavis was born on December 21, 1946 to Selby and Althea Verge of Brighton. She attended Brighton Elementary for her education and at the age of 19 became a teacher in the same school for awhile with over forty children. She met and married the love of her life Rex and raised three children of their own, Shawn, Byron and Lorelei.
She spent her life as a homemaker and became a foster parent to over forty-five children over many years whom she loved with all her heart; she even adopted two as her own. She loved knitting and sewing and her church; also chasing her husband in the woods and out fishing.
Mavis will be missed by all who knew her.
