Condolence: I just received this sad bit of news this morning from Tim. When you hear of the passing of someone you knew you immediately fall back into the past and start remembering the things that mattered. What mattered to me was that Mick and Mary were like a second set of parents to me. Back in those teen years I'm sure I had as many meals at their home as I did at my own and while at their table you were included as one of their own. There are not many in this world who could fill Mick's shoes. I always had great respect for him and I know his presence will be missed. Take care Mom Beresford; looking at the list of family members you have a small army around you to help. All the best.

Condolence: Mary and family, please accept my deepest condolence. I am in shock. When I visited you and Mike in August, you both seemed to be in great shape. During my visit we shared so many wonderful memories and hardy laughs about those long ago days when I was the curate to Father Meaney. For me, Mike was a rock. He could always turn a bad experience into something cheerful. For example, when my dad died, Mike took me for a drive in his new car and tried to cheer me up by scaring me half to death demonstrating that his vehicle could easily do a 100 mph on the gravel road to Badger. When I got out of the car, I said "Mike, I almost joined dad today." He said, "Well, I tried my best." He was such fun. Marry, do not mourn. With your children, just remember the good days. As is said these days, a funeral is a celebration of life. You and Mike had a lot of life to celebrate.
Rest in peace Mike and thanks for all the memories!
