1973-2022

Passed peacefully away after a brief battle with cancer, on Friday, April 1, 2022, Michael Charles Snelgrove, aged 48 years, of Grand Falls-Windsor, originally from Spaniard’s Bay. Predeceased by his grandparents Wesley and Daisy Snelgrove and David and Doris Pike; Uncles Paul Pike, Vernon, Melvin, and Roland Snelgrove, Ernest Melbourne, and Walter Snow; and cousin, Tracy Pike. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 19 years, Linda; precious children Paige and Evan; devoted parents Charles and Marilyn; sister Lynn (Craig) Connell; nephews Liam and Gavin; parents-in-law David and Signe James; sister-in-law Laura (Marc) Langlois; brother-in-law Barry (Nicole) James and nephews, Owen, Jack, Alex, Carter and James; Uncles Norman (Florence) Pike; Bill (Vivian) Snelgrove, Ron (Elaine) Pike, And David Pike; Aunts Doris Melbourne, June Snow, Maisie (Brooks) Adey, Georgiana (Carson) Lambert, Phyllis (Dominic) Johnson, Marie Snelgrove, Christine Snelgrove; Sharon Callahan, Rose (Joe) Boudreau, and Sharon Pike; as well as many cousins.
Cremation has taken place. At Michael’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the cancer team at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, the caring workers from Horwood’s Home Care, and the compassionate staff at Carmelite House.
