Obituary for Michelle Gilbert (Boone)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michelle Gilbert (Boone) announce her passing at her home in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on November 24, 2022 at the age of 56. Michelle was a member of the United Church. She retired from Provincial Home Care.
Predeceased by her father George; mother Stella; son Michael; and sister Sharon. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her spouse Rod Goulding; sons Stephen Gilbert (Laura) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL and Adam Gilbert (Caity) of Calgary, AB; and daughter Alicia Gilbert of St. John’s, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters Debbie (Chris),Carol (Maurice), and Janet; brother Doug (Angela); nieces and nephews Rick, Jeffrey, Heather, Jamie, Mark, Tracy, Matt, Adam, Dennis, Ethan, Carla, Olivia, Liam, Savana, and Ashley; grandchildren Elliott, Chase, Noah, and Leah; and close friends Rosalind (Kim), Mona, Robert, Clar (Darlene), Tony (Lori), Sue (Dennis), Judy, Sheila, Glen (Charlotte), Judy, and many more.
Michelle was someone who was so full of life. She was a hard worker who spent her working career taking care of others; a selfless, caring animal lover who always put others first. An incredible woman whose life was cut too short. Her memories will live on through all the people she touched.
Rev. Kim Waite will conduct the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Urn bearers are her children, Stephen and Alicia. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines and Renee Fancey of Central Funeral Homes.
