Obituary for Robert Hedley Kenneth Bragg

ROBERT HEDLEY KENNETH BRAGG
1958 - 2018

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Robert Bragg at his home on Badger Lake on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018. Despite living with a condition that should’ve slowed him down, Rob lived more life than most in his 60 years. He might have told some tall tales in his day, but to Bob, they were all tall.

Rob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and retired from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Lorraine, parents, Fred Bragg and Barbara Yake, parents-in-law, Frank and Vicki Higgins, son, Jake (Emily) of Ottawa, ON, and daughter, Leslie (Mark) of Victoria, BC. Also leaving to mourn are his grandson, Ben, sister, Joanne Bragg (Jack), brothers, Jim (Diane), Chris (Sandra), John (Joan), and Keith (Sheryl), as well as aunts, cousins, and a large circle of friends.

Rob loved to see and be surrounded by smiles and laughter. He would be quick to carry on with you or he might be quietly observing, but if you caught his eye he’d give you his characteristic nod and grin. He was an avid lover of music, with a massive record collection and an uncanny ability to name the artist and album of any song he heard from the classic rock era. Over the years, he fished West Lake, the Exploits River and Badger Lake, and he would be proud to show you his catch. He loved being outside and in the woods, especially with his Badger Lake family.

Pool shark, bocce ball champion, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Rob will be remembered for his kind, generous and fun-loving spirit, topped with cheesy jokes.

Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky. Breathing easy and resting peacefully.

Rev. Roy Martin and Rev. Jeff Blackwood will conduct the funeral service at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in his memory to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
