RONALD CLIFFORD JAMES MERCER
1946 - 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Clifford James Mercer announce his passing at his cabin at Joe's Lake on January 9, 2019 at the age of 72. Ron retired from Abitibi Consolidated in Grand Falls-Windsor. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Daphne, brother, George, and sister, Jean. Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife, Ileane, son, Brian (Felicia) of Labrador City, NL, and daughter, Brenda Jackman (Bernie) of Badger, NL. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters, Joy Green, Mary Norton, Yvonne Foster, and Linda Stroud (Howard), grandchildren, Erica, Ethan, Nekiah, Elijah, and Noah, and a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service will be conducted at the United Church in Badger, NL on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family, or donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
