It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rowena Nellie (Burt) Beaton announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans, NL on January 9, 2023 at the age of 95. Rowena was a member of the United Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Con; son, Junior; parents, Joseph and Bertha Burt; stepfather, Dorman Bridger; and siblings, Masie and Lloyd Foster, Sidney and Sadie Burt, Neil and Florence Burt, Raymond Burt, and Everett and Allan Bridger. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters, Bernice (Sterling) of Badger, Judy (Bert) of Badger, and Gwendolyn of Pasadena; and daughter-in-law, Barbara of Badger. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters, Greta, Audrey, and Betty; brother, Woodrow, grandchildren, Sterling and Patricia, Dennis and Linda, Gerald and Natasha, Terrilynn and David, Angela and Rodney, and Adam and Sandra; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Kallie; and special friend and sister-in-law, Doris Burt. Verley Roberts will conduct the funeral service at the Badger United Church on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in her memory to the United Church or Pentecostal Cemetery in Badger. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kellye Waterman of Central Funeral Homes.

To Moms extended family at A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital, we cannot find the words to express our appreciation and gratitude for the care you gave Mom while she was in your care.
