Obituary for Ruby Doreen Smith (Gillingham)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Doreen Smith announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale on December 6, 2022 at the age of 81. Ruby was a devoted member of the Springdale Salvation Army. She retired from Corner Brook Co-op in the early 90’s.
Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Smith and her daughter in law, Pearl Smith.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her son, Graham Smith (Cheryl) of Springdale, NL.
Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren Bradley Smith of Toronto, ON, Joshua Osmond (Danielle) of Springdale, NL, Jordan Osmond (Abbie) of Fort McMurray, AB; Great grandchildren, Caylee, Caleb and Catelyn Osmond and Dawson & Brea Pieroway.
Ruby also leaves to mourn her sisters in law Doris Wiseman (Arthur), Meta Gillingham, Joan Gillingham and Brothers in law, Clarence Smith (Lorraine) and Henry Critch; she also leaves many well-loved friends and extended family.
Major Joshua Randell will conduct the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 10, 2022 @ 11 am at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel with interment to follow at the Springdale Salvation Army Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Graham Smith (Son), Bradley Smith (Grandson), Joshua Osmond (Grandson), Calvin Whalen (Friend), Glenn Budgell (Friend), and Kevin Pollard (Friend).
