Obituary for Ruth Donna Sarah Burton (Hillier)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother at Valley Vista Senior Citizen’s Home in Springdale, NL on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 85 years of age.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Bruce Burton. Also by her mother May Vallis, father Andrew Hillier, brother Jim Hillier and sister June Anne Hillier.
She will be sadly missed by her children Terry (Bonnie), Glen, Aubrey (Laurie), Lorne (Sheila), Dianne (Paul), her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother and doting grandmother. Her life was committed to her family. She always put the wants and needs of her family before her own. A selfless, patient, loving woman who made the world a better place. It will not be the same without her in it.
Forever remembered. Forever loved.
Service to be held at Robert’s Arm United Church at 2 pm Friday January 26th. Light lunch to follow.
