Obituary for Sandra Mary Simms (O'Brien)
Sandra Simms
July 20, 1943 – August 31, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sandra Simms announce her passing at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. Johns, NL on August 31, 2020 at the age of 77.
Sandra was Past President of the Kinette Club of Grand Falls-Windsor and was an active volunteer with Children's Wish in both Grand Falls-Windsor and St. John's. She worked many years for the late Dr. David Greenland in Grand Falls-Windsor. Sandra was an endlessly patient sufferer of politics during Len's 20 year term as MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor.
Predeceased by parents Tom & Ruby O’Brian, and sister Faye McNulty.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband; Len Simms, son; Doug (Kim) Simms of Grand Falls-Windsor, and daughter; Jackie Simms of Grand Falls-Windsor.
Also leaving to mourn granddaughters; Danielle (Timeyin), Samantha, and Rebecca, great-Grandson Grayson, brother;
Tom (Penney) of Ottawa, sisters; Elaine of Stoney Creek, Rozanne (Jerry) of Lingan, Judy of Ottawa, Cindy (Tony) of Montaque, and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are welcome.
Visitation and funeral service will be held with restrictions due to COVID-19.
