Condolence: It is through tears and disbelief that I am writing this message. My friend of almost 50 years, we share so many memories. Not only us, but our families .Your house was my second home, my "go to" place when I needed it. How many times did we huddle in your porch, trying to come up with a story to give your Mother and Father so they would let me sleep over. It worked 90% of the time and for the times that it didn't, I would just go crawl in between you and Tracy and they would be none the wiser until in the morning when it was time for breakfast and there I was. LOL You were the one that stayed with me, slept over with me (for almost 3 months), after my sister had moved to Alberta. You didn't go home, until I apparently hit you in my sleep and gave you a nosebleed. LOL I still, to this day tell our "smoking story" of how me, you, and Deb scrounged up enough money (about $3.25 at the time) to buy a pack of cigarettes, only to have them squat under the tires of Cliff Feener's school bus. We thought it would be safe to hide them there because it was a Saturday and the bus wouldn't be moved until Monday, but we were sadly mistaken. LOL We thought we were gonna be killed after Tracy and Wayne had broke the news to us that our mothers knew we were smoking, which we obviously, totally denied. LOL There are so many memories of me, you, Deb and Sonya going on adventures, getting into trouble, causing trouble. The "Gately Street Gang" was well known in the neighborhood for many things.....good and bad. LOL We all fought with each other, hung out with each other, helped each other, but most importantly, remained friends through it all. My favorite memory of our childhood that we would always laugh about as adults, is how we both fought over (at 12/13 years old LOL) who was gonna marry Win. You would always say " and you won." Our families may not have had much but we had each other, and ALWAYS looked out for each other, ALWAYS. The memories we all have, are far more valuable than anything any amount of money could ever buy. I will be forever grateful for our friendship and each and every one of our memories.
I have no doubt that Ralph and Johnny were there to welcome you with open arms. Rest easy my friend, you will forever be in my heart.
