Obituary for Sylvia Margaret Martin (Budgell)
SYLVIA MARGARET MARTIN (BUDGELL)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Martin announce her peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit at the Carmelite House on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 79.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Jim Martin, children Beverly and James (Peter) Martin, grandchildren Monique and Spencer, sons-in-law Aristide and Justin. Sylvia also leaves behind her Sisters Beverly Budgell, Carolyn Greene, Joslyn Hynes, Betty Traverse, Ruth Budgell and brother Craig Budgell. Predeceased by her parents Harvey and Vera Budgell, sister Doreen Warr and brothers Harvey, Barrie and Myles Budgell. Left to mourn are many special nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Sylvia is well remembered for her many wonderful years of teaching. The impact she had on her students during her teaching career was very special and held close to her heart.
Sylvia will be missed by her family and friends but never forgotten. “Ever remembered, ever loved. Forever in our hearts.” A big thank you to all of the warm and caring staff members of Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre and the Carmelite House for their support.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be no viewing or funeral service. A private burial ceremony will be scheduled for next week.
Donations can be made in Sylvia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
