Terence Scott "Terry" Goodyear P. Eng., ONL
1930-2022
It is with heavy hearts, and sadness that the Goodyear family say goodbye to a great man of love, wisdom, and strength. He was a special husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, stepfather to all. He passed away this morning in Summerside, PEI with his wife Noelle at his side.
Terry is predeceased by his first wife Joanne Gomery; parents Kenneth and Isabelle (Dunn), brother Denny (Carol Bradbury), sisters Patricia (Donald Marshall) and Sheila (Audrey Coleman).
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Noelle (nee Caseley), son Geoff (Alison Lunnen), daughter Kathie (Wayne Lane), daughter Patricia (Al Saunders), son Mike (Sheila Lindahl); stepdaughter Buffi (Farley Abdeen), and stepdaughter Kim (Lou Saffiotti) and sister-in-law Bev Cornish. Also leaving to mourn 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews.
Throughout his career, Terry served on many boards and commissions including NL & Lab Hydro, Exploits River Management Association, the College of the North Atlantic, several terms on Grand Falls-Windsor Town Council and District Governor of Rotary District 7820. His success in business was more than matched by his efforts and success with numerous benevolent organizations. In recognition of his contributions to the Civil Engineering community and his innovations in underwater construction, he was invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador.
He was an inspiration to those who worked with him and respected by all.
