Obituary for Valerie Michelle Fowlow (House)

Valerie Fowlow (House) was born on August 12, 1967 to Wilfred and Leah House of Springdale. Valerie was one in a family of three children. Valerie spent her childhood years in Springdale where she was noted to always be up to no good.
Val and Ster met in school and began dating while she was in grade 12. Valerie attended college to become a hair dresser. She always told her daughters they were never allowed to do exactly that. “No money in that” she’d say. Val and Ster eventually moved to South Brook and were married on August 24, 1991. Nine months later they had their very first beautiful baby girl. They liked her so much that four years later they decided to have another one. Valerie cut and styled everyone’s hair in South Brook, but slowly stopped to raise her two daughters full time.
Valerie was devoted to her family and always made sure they had everything they needed and wanted. Val was always known for helping Ster, especially when it came to the family business. If Val wasn’t cooking supper, she was in doing her book work. Val was co-owner of Arthur Fowlow Limited and took great pride in her families hard work. Alongside this, she always praised her daughters for being so successful and always pursuing their dreams. Valerie was the greatest support and continuously cheered Sterling, Jessica, and Jenelle on. Val also adored her sweet dog, Molly and always joked about how Molly was her shadow.
When Valerie moved into her new home in June, she always talked about wanting to fill it full of people. Valerie will be forever remembered as a loving wife, a caring mother, and a special daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend.
Always in our hearts, forever.
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Valerie Michelle Fowlow, age 53 of South Brook, NL announces her passing on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
Valerie was a loving mother to Jessica and Jenelle and a wonderful wife to Sterling. Valerie's husband and children were her entire world and she cared for them deeply. Valerie was also an incredible sister, daughter, aunt, great aunt, and friend.
Val was full of good fun and there was always the sound of laughter wherever she went. Val loved having a scuff and enjoyed nothing more than a sweet treat. When Val was not spending time with her family and friends, she could be found in the store picking out her next plaid shirt or ripped jeans.

Valerie is predeceased by her mother, Leah House and father in law Arthur Fowlow.

Left with loving memories, husband Sterling, daughters Jessica and Jenelle, sweet puppy Molly, father Wilfred (Neta), brother Michael (Rhonda), and sister Cathy (Darrin).
