Obituary for Wavey Lillian Bride Noseworthy (Winsor)

Wavey Lillian Bride Noseworthy
August 24, 1957 - November 6, 2022

It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Wavey Lillian Bride Noseworthy announce her passing at the Green Bay Community Health Centre in Springdale, NL on November 6, 2022 at the age of 65, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Wavey will always be remembered for her hard work, whether it be in the kitchen and around home, among the berry bushes or at her place of work. Whatever she worked at, she aimed to do her absolute best.

Wavey was committed to being a full time mom and wife up until June 7, 1988 when she worked her first shift at Fishery Products International. Wavey was a dedicated worker who loved every shift she spent at FPI/OCI and she cherished the many memories and priceless friendships that developed there.

Wavey was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Avis Winsor; mother and father in law Stanley & Idella Noseworthy; brothers Cyril, Terry & Ricky; sisters in law Nancy & Faye and son in law Len Whalen.

Wavey leaves to mourn her husband of 45 years, Lorne Noseworthy; her children Joni (David Sacrey), Conn (Brenda), Cyril (Nikita), Janice Boucher (Tristan) and Corey. Her fun, love and laughter will forever be missed by her grandchildren Devin (Mary), Shauna (Nicolas), Jayden (Schuyler), Alena, Lila, Callie & Miranda.

Also left to mourn are her siblings: Cheryl Flannery, Verna Pinkson (David), Mike Winsor (Judy), Joe Winsor (Lovejoy), Wade Winsor, Brenda Winsor, Brian Winsor (Jean), Wanda Short (Clarence), Todd Winsor (Suzette), & Angela, as well as her sisters in law Deborah Winsor, Fern Winsor, and Sylvia Hibbs (Roy), and brothers-in-law Austin Noseworthy (Golda), Ambrose Noseworthy (Beulah) and Larry Noseworthy (Linda).

Precious memories will forever be cherished by her closest friends, Della Mayo, Gloria Williams, Norma Bridger & Loretta Fudge.

Many thanks to Dr. Neveu & her team at the Dr H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in St. John’s, the Doctors and Medical Team at the Cancer Clinic in Grand Falls-Windsor, the Doctors and Staff at the Green Bay Community Health Centre in Springdale. Special thanks to Nurses Ruth Wells & Amy Wiseman. The care and concern of all medical professionals will never be forgotten.

Public Visitations will take place on Friday, November 11 from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm at Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle in Triton NL. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastors Wayne & Joy Baker on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2 pm with interment to follow at the Brighton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers are Conn Noseworthy, Cyril Noseworthy, Nikita Noseworthy,Tristan Boucher, David Sacrey, and Devin Noseworthy.
