WILLIAM ELIAS DINNEY
1938 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Elias Dinney announce his passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre in Botwood, NL on January 13, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bill was 82 years of age.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce; son Calvin (Cathy) of Fort McMurray, AB; treasured grandchildren, Kendra (Corey) of Fort McMurray, AB, Katelin (Stephen) of Fort McMurray, AB, Kody (Jessie) of Edmonton, AB, and Kyle (Tara) of Fort McMurray, AB; great-grandchildren, Shonté, Ciara, Davis, and Wells; and two baby Dinneys to-be. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters, Irene Cooper and Shirley Humber, and siblings-in-law, Walter (Joan), Bill (Mondella), Roland (Margaret), Cecil (Debbie), Betty (Dan) Parmiter, Shirley (Merill) Bell, and Enos (Wilma).
Predeceased by his parents, John and Minnie; sister, Gladys; brother, Roland (Bud); mother-in-law, Jessie Martin; and father-in-law, Samuel Martin.
Pastor Baine Andrews will conduct the funeral service at Point Leamington Pentecostal Assembly in Point Leamington, NL on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines. Pallbearers are Johnny Dinney, Taylor Dinney, Bill Martin, Walt Martin, Dan Parmiter, and Albert Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Paula Dinney Brace and Walt Marsh. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ryan Peddle of Central Funeral Homes.
