Obituary for William James "Jim" Harnum

WILLIAM JAMES "JIM" HARNUM
1926 - 2019

William James “Jim” Harnum passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday July 25th, 2019.

Jim was predeceased by his loving wife Jean Harnum, his parents Eliol & Annie Harnum of Port Union, his sisters Barbara and Lillian. Leaving to mourn are his children Bob (Cheryl) Harnum, Daphne(Ed) Ricketts, Jim (Alice) Harnum and Tammy (Norm) Pinsent. Jim was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Natasha, Stephen, Michael, Bobby, David, Shawn, Trina, Jody, Ashley and Amber. He also had 12 very much adored great grandchildren. Ryan, Andrew, James, Lindsey, Matthew, Lisa, Nicole, Rachel, Jake, Brett, Brianna and MacKenzie and most recently one great grandson Myles. Also left mourn is his brother Robert (Joan) Harnum of Clarenville, his sisters Ida Party, Vera (Nigel) Brenson of Bonavista and Edith (Hector) White of North West River Labrador.

Jim was known for his love of the woods and being up at the cabin were some of his best times. His love of the outdoors and his family were unsurpassed. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jim enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others over his lifetime and some of those shared moments had a very big influence on the lives he touched.
