William (Bill) J. Parsons passed away suddenly at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale, NL on April 6th, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 58. Bill was born and raised in Rocky Harbour and served in the navy before relocating to Fort McMurray, AB where he spent many years driving trucks in the oilsands. He then retired to Sheppardville, NL over 10 years ago. Bill loved hunting, fishing, being in the woods, his garage, and working around his house. Most days you could find Bill in his garage where he had any tool you could need or want. Bill was a hard worker and will be known for effort he always put into anything he did.
Bill was pre-deceased by his parents, Ben and Beatrice Parsons. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife, Myrt; his children: Danika (Sheldon), Darlene (Ernie), Kristi and Wilfred; his brothers: Byron (Marie), Rock (Linda), and Roger (Gloria); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Bill’s family would like to thank the Green Bay Health Centre staff for their wonderful treatment and compassion for him and his family during his very brief stay there.
