Obituary for William Robert Wyatt

William Robert Wyatt
1928 - 2022

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late William Robert Wyatt announces his passing at Green Bay Health Centre on October 22, 2022 at the age of 94.

William was born in Pilley’s Island, NL and in 1948 married Margaret Fifield; together they had 10 children. As a teenager and until he was first married, Willian worked with AND company; moving on to work in Springdale with Ford Hewlett for 12 years as a mechanic and driver; he then worked at Whales Back Mine as a mechanic until the mine closed; he finished his working career with the Government as a highway equipment mechanic until his retirement at the age of 60. Outside of work, he had a natural gift for farming, hunting and playing music.

William was predeceased by his son Garry Wyatt; he leaves to mourn his wife of 74 years, Margaret; his children Goldie Allen, Rita (Bing) Pelley, Linda (Sean) Cooper, Dennis (Jessie) Wyatt, Paula (Wayne) Pickett, Susan (Eugene) Edison, Deanna (Norman) Leclerc, Wanda (Frank) Allard and Billy (Erin) Wyatt.
He also leaves to mourn his siblings Ruby Ryan, Norman Whyatt, Cynthia Whyatt, Chris Whyatt and Sharon Fudge; as well he leaves to mourn and who will deeply miss him, his many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 2 pm at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel with interment to follow at the Springdale Salvation Army Cemetery.
