Obituary for Winnifred Strong (Carpenter)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnifred Lorraine Strong (nee Carpenter) announce her passing at Hollett Park in Grand Falls- Windsor on December 7, 2023 at the age of 91. Winnie was a member of the Memorial United Church.
Predeceased by her husband Angus John Strong, father Reuben Carpenter, mother Elizabeth Dalton, sister Pearl (Harvey) Peddle, stepmother Ducile Johnson, brother Joe (Mary) Carpenter, and brothers-in-law George Banfield and Frank Strickland.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son Angus (Jo-Ann) Strong of Grand- Falls, and daughter Mary (Merle) Sebzda of Red Deer Alberta.
Also leaving to mourn are sisters Marcie Banfield, Louise Strickland, Marie (Ray) Pardy, Joan Carpenter-Nolan. Brother Bruce (Sharon) Carpenter. Grandchildren Katie-Raye Strong, Michael (April) Strong, Matthew Strong, Adam Sebzda. Great- Grandchildren Sadie Wynne Strong and Delilah Strong along with many nieces and nephews.
As much as Winnie loved her flower gardens, in lieu of sending flowers, a donation can be made in her memory to Lionel Kelland Hospice.
