WINSTON SANDY SHINER
1933 – 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston Sandy Shiner announce his passing at St. Clare’s Hospital in St. John’s on September 15, 2019 at the age of 85. Winston was predeceased by his parents, Raymond & Grace Shiner; brothers-Roy Shiner, Eric Thomas, Reginald Shiner, Eddy Shiner, Leonard Shiner; sister, Annie Shiner; son, Junior Shiner and granddaughter, Christa Gillard. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 65 years, Marie Shiner and his children – Bonnie Wieler (Dan), Barbara Osmond (Frank), Betty Inder (Freeman), Hank (Sandy) Shiner (Tina), Margaret Shiner (Scott), Morris Shiner (Vanessa), Colin Shiner (Zonya), Elaine Thomas (Gerald), Sandra Shiner; 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Geddis Shiner and his sisters – Jessie Matthews, Phyllis Huxter and Bernice Hewlett. Pastor Kerry Northcotte will conduct the funeral service from the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in South Brook on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery in South Brook. Pallbearers are Hank Shiner, Morris Shiner, Dan Wieler, Freeman Inder, Roy Thomas and Gavin Osmond. Honorary pallbearer is Bonnie Wieler. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
