1943 - 2024
The family of the late Winston C. Strickland is saddened to announce his passing at the Valley Vista Senior’s Home in Springdale on April 2, 2024 at the age of 80.
Winston was a member of the Salvation Army Robert’s Arm - Pilley’s Island Corps. He retired from the Triton Fish Plant where he worked for many years. Winston loved to watch hockey; his favorite team was the Detroit Red Wings. He loved walking and was known for walking many, many miles during his lifetime.
Winston was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Isabella Strickland, as well as his siblings, Lionel, Annie and Arch.
He leaves to mourn his siblings Ruby, Alma and Truman as well as nephews and nieces, extended family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at Robert's Arm-Pilley's Island Salvation Army Citadel on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2 pm; with interment to follow at Pilley's Island Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are Peter Strickland, Albert Strickland, Barry Strickland, Paul Fifield, Jamie Fifield and Rod King.
