HARRY MERLIN KNIGHT
1934 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harry Merlin Knight announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on September 4, 2018 at the age of 84. Harry was a member of the United Church Cemetery Committee of Jacksons Cove and the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary for 25 years. He retired from fishing at the age of 70 and he was a farmer. Harry was predeceased by his wife Myrtis and his parents, Raymond & Effie Knight. Left with fond and loving memories is his son Ralph Knight (Lorrie) of Jacksons Cove and daughters Nola Knight (Paul) of South Brook and Donna Upward (Geoffrey) of Silverdale. Also leaving to mourn are his grandchildren-Natasha Reid (Cody), Tristen, Heather (Adam) and great grandchild Addison. Pastor Kerry Northcotte will conduct the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the United Cemetery in Jacksons Cove. Pallbearers are Nola Knight (daughter), Paul Knight (son-in-law), Ralph Knight (son), Tristen Knight (grandson), Geoffrey Upward (son-in-law) and Ross Osmond (cousin). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
